Help Tip Tray Theatre continue to support emerging Artists

At Tip Tray, we’re really passionate about supporting new and emerging artists. Starting out in the arts, especially theatre, is tough. There are so many hurdles—finding funding, securing spaces, and building a team. For a lot of new artists, these challenges make it nearly impossible to get their work seen.

In our most recent artist development initiative:

• 50% of our participants are aged 18-25, with 12.5% are aged 50-65

• 37.5% are a member of the LGBTQ+

• 62.5% of participants are female, with 6.3% of participants identifying as non-binary

• 21.9% of participants’ gender is different to the gender they were assigned at birth

• 71.0% of participants are working class

• 37.5% of participants identify as disabled

• 38.5% of participants identify as neurodiverse

Our mission is to simplify and support the journey for emerging artists, particularly those who identify as D/deaf, disabled, neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, or as part of the global majority. Through our shows, workshops and community initiatives, we support artists and provide a launchpad to kickstart their career.
